Opinions of more than 20,000 drivers from all over Europe were collected when designing the new model of Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 tyre. A number of research strategies were used to determine the common challenges faced by drivers in the winter, to define their expectations in terms of tyre quality and to design a product that fully meets their expectations.

The new Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 tyre is Bridgestone’s response to the demand for absolute safety and control, even in the harshest winter conditions. This new flagship winter tyre was designed to enable moving forward in any conditions, offer the best control on snowy or cold and rainy days, taking high-speed highway turns or sharply braking in the city.

Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 stands out with excellent performance on snow and ice. This is demonstrated by one of the two best results in the class in braking on snow, traction on snow and braking in ice.

Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 offers the best grip and braking on wet roads. This is the first winter tyre that has achieved Grade A for wet-road grip for all models in the series.

Technical characteristics of Bridgestone Blizzak LM005:

• Wider grooves in the centre of the thread;
• More side grooves at the edge;
• 2D cutouts in the middle and 3D cutouts at edges;
• Zig-zag grooves; new nano-selective compound technology with high silica content – Nano Pro-tech.
